Villa description:

If you want to spend your holidays in the beautiful nature of the
Istrian hills, to be far from the throng, to enjoy in the vineyards,
olive groves and cultivated fields and, at the same time, to watch
the sea from your window, then come to Istria – to Vižinada –
to the luxurious villa “Giselle” made of stone.

It was named after the world’s famous ballet-dancer Carlotta
Grisi born back in 1841 right in Vižinada. With her beauty and
grace she inspired the author of the ballet Theophil Gautier to
write the ballet performance GISELLE which he dedicated to her.
The performance was performed for the first time at the
Parisian opera “Theatre de l’academie royal de musique”
and was celebrated all over the world.

By staying in such a nice environment in the beautiful villa Giselle,
you will feel every morning again the harmony of nature,
bird’s singing, fine weather, good wine, good ham and well-known
all over the world – truffles.

Within your reach are the footpaths, bike tracks, wine tracks, olive
oil paths where one can taste the delicacies of this area.
“Villa Giselle” is an old country house made of stone one
hundred years ago and it was renovated in the year 2004 in the
place of Crklada near Vižinada on a 1,450 sq. met. real property
area.
The fence around the land is a wall made of stone
beautifully decorated with Mediterranean plants and a lawn,
and, it secures privacy.

The villa is intended for the accommodation of eight persons in
four rooms, of which three are matrimonial rooms and one
is a double-bedded children’s room.

Every room has got its own bathroom while the principal
room “Giselle” has got also the Jacuzzi bath. The rooms
are luxuriously fitted and each one, save for the children’s is over
30 sq. met. The lounge with the open fireplace, a large dining
room for 12 persons and practical kitchen is a guarantee for a
very pleasant stay. All the furniture is of rustic workmanship made
of hard Slavonian oak.

During the hot summer days you can bathe in the pool 8 x 4 m
large and enjoy in the sweet smell of the lavender blossom.
At hand there is the terrace with the grill.

In the surroundings you can taste the Istrian cousin delicacies
while in agritourism and country restaurants you will have
the opportunity of taking delight in tasting Istrian ham and
cheese, dumplings “njoki”, “fuži” (pasta) with venison or
truffle specialties in the world’s centre of truffle – Livade.

On the other hand, if you wish to feel the charm of summer
crowds, entertainment, sports, beaches or seafood restaurants,
do set out for our touristic centres Poreč, Rovinj, Umag or Pula.
But if your wish is to experience the charm of old ancient Istrian
small towns full of objects of art, then go towards Motovun,
Grožnjan or the smallest town in the world – Hum…, and to
many others.

Maybe, after your sojourn at the villa GISELLE, you will also feel
the immeasurable love which Giselle herself had for his
undestined Albrecht. Try, one never knows!
